Senior digital consultant, Waggener Edstrom
As the Senior Digital Consultant for Waggener Edstrom’s London-based Studio D team, Jon Silk provides high-level consultancy and guidance on digital strategy to clients across EMEA.
Jon has over ten years’ experience in the application of technology and creative media to solve a full range of business challenges. His skills in digital influence range from measurement and monitoring, blogging and social networking community building, including the use of interactive video and gaming.
He is responsible for helping clients integrate the agency’s numerous proprietary tools – such as Twitter sentiment analysis engine WE twendz pro™ and online media monitoring service WExPulse™ – into successful communications strategy and results. Jon also works closely with the Waggener Edstrom Public Affairs team to ensure lobbying and government relations activity has a strong digital flavour.
As a result, training is a critical part of his role, and he runs internal and external training sessions across EMEA to educate all stakeholders on the digital revolution and changing face of communications.
Before joining Waggener Edstrom, Jon was Creative Director at Lewis PR, where we worked on integrated off- and online campaigns and content. Jon’s background is firmly rooted in journalism with a number of senior editorial posts at technology publications, including Managing Editor of a global publishing house where he helped launch the company’s online publishing division.
