MOBILE MARKETING NEWS: Nokia to target enterprises

Nokia is planning to launch a B2B campaign to help push its two latest smartphone models to the mass market.

The company will be offering its enterprise customers free Lumia 800s and 710s. Nokia will use its distributors to target B2B dealers and IT sellers who can offer the phones out to their customers to ‘try before they buy’.

James Kitto, head of retail and distribution at Nokia is quoted as saying, “Our focus for the Nokia Lumia 800 was very much at the consumer and we have achieved that. Our analysis shows that consumer awareness is very high now and we plan to expand our distribution strategy to a wider part of the market.”

The Lumia 710 – the low end version of the Lumia 800 – is due to be released in February and will also run on Windows 7.5.
