LinkedIn has added new tools to help marketers increase customised communications via the professional network.
The Targeted Updates and Follower Statistics tools will allow marketers to create highly specific follower lists that can be segmented by categories such as industry, seniority, job function and geography. Marketers will also have access to an insights dashboard that details engagement metrics such as likes, shares, comments and percentage of engagement.
The new tools are currently only available to a select group of partners including Microsoft globally and Philips in Europe.
Speaking about the new features Clive Roach, social media strategist at Philips Healthcare, said, “LinkedIn’s targeted updates make it easier for us to connect with our company followers by sharing only the most relevant information that really matters to them. In addition, the new statistics delivered through these updates mean we can continually fine tune our communication and improve these relationships.”
