5 best locations for launching tech start-ups revealed

Research discovers the best locations for new-born tech businesses, with Boulder in Colorado taking the top spot

SmallBusinessPrices.co.uk – who conducted the research – wanted to find out where tech entrepreneurs had the best prospects outside of Silicon Valley and London, which have become heavily populated by start-up tech companies.

Boulder in Colorado was named overall best location, achieving the highest scores in internet accessibility, potential business prospects and infrastructure.

Despite this Houston was found to have the highest average internet speed of 65 mbps. Outside of the US, Stockholm offered the best connectivity with a speed of 37 mbps.

Bangalore has been an area of growth for business, and currently has over 7500 start ups, and 6236 investors (the largest amount out of all the locations). While Boulder has the highest average business valuation at $1548.
