Communications agency Acceleris has acquired B2B PR agency Limelight.
The move is an attempt to increase its capabilities offered to clients on a national and international scale, particularly in the area of reputation and crisis management, the firm said.
Acceleris hopes to see benefits from greater scale and geographical reach. Limelight has offices in London and Dubai, with Acceleris located in London and Harrogate, North Yorkshire. The combined company will offer commercially-focused services in corporate communications, content production, digital and broadcast media and reputation and crisis management.
The businesses began working as one from yesterday, but both companies will operate under their existing names.
Louise Vaughan, MD at Acceleris, who will lead the new agency, said: “This is a strategic acquisition that brings together two highly regarded agencies to create a single, exciting and highly credible new force in reputation management specialising in the B2B, public and third sectors.”
Founder of Limelight Susanna Simpson, will become a shareholder of Acceleris and join the board of the agency, focusing on the company’s growth in London. “The additional resources and skills provided by Acceleris and its experienced board will enable us to significantly grow and achieve great ambitions for our clients and ourselves. I am very proud of our past, but more excited about our future. To be working with such a talented combined team to take our new business to the next level is an opportunity for everyone and I am completely confident it will be a big success.”
