Affiliate marketing conference makes speaker lineup 100% female

The Affiliate Summit Europe has made a decision to make their conference an all female speaker lineup.

The move was made to highlight the existing issues in the marketing sector and draw attention to events that are often male-dominated. It was also to encourage more female speakers as well.

The conference has already seen an uplift in female submissions for speaker slots YoY as a result of this decision and they hope other performance marketing companies have similar experiences as an upshot. Alongside this move, they have stated that from 2021, their events will always feature a lineup that is 50/50 female and male.

Any women interested in speaking at the event can check out the topics up for discussion on its main website and submit their application by 14 February.

Hannah Wharrier, spokesperson for www.AffiliateSummit.com commented:“There are many events out there in our sector that often, even accidentally, have an all-male speaker roster with little to no backlash. It sometimes takes extreme measures for people to sit up and take notice and start thinking seriously about issues that can still be brushed under the carpet. Sometimes a few feathers have to be ruffle in the pursuit of change.”

Attendees at the summit can enjoy educational sessions broken into six categories: affiliate, affiliate management, advertiser, OPM/agency, solution provider, and network.

The conference will take place in Amsterdam, Netherlands, 3-4 June. More details can be found on its website.
