As part of the six-figure deal, Airbus will sponsor the FT’s in-depth video series of the show, which is running on the newspaper’s website. The video coverage will include interviews with leading CEOs from the aviation industry including airlines, manufacturers and suppliers. The deal also includes three homepage takeovers throughout the week of the show.
The sponsorship deal further cements the on-going relationship between Airbus and the FT. Previously it has worked closely with the newspaper on other sponsorship opportunities including coverage of the Paris and Dubai airshows.
“Farnborough Airshow is one of the most high profile events within the aeronautical industry attracting CEOs from across the world. It is the one opportunity to do business and make key strategic announcements. The sponsorship deal with Airbus [allows] them a unique platform to engage with these key business leaders,” says Ben Hughes, global commercial director and deputy CEO of the FT.
The Farnborough Airshow, held every two years, is running from July 14 – 20. It is open to aerospace professionals only until July 18, and the public thereafter.
