AOP gives a lesson in offline networking online

The association of online publishers (AOP) is releasing its first mobile app in form of a game called FaceTime.

The game is designed to teach users effective networking skills and is only available via the Apple app store. The AOP is concerned the increase in online social networking has left people without the necessary skills needed for real-life networking.

Lee Baker, director for the AOP said, “FaceTime has the potential to help you advance your career, by rehearsing and learning from virtual situations you may very well actually find yourself in.”

Players must select their characters from a range of industry heavyweights and negotiate a series of events and scenarios successfully. Along the way they will unlock secret powers and special moves.

The AOP have plans to create release versions for Android, BlackBerry, Ovi and Windows in the future.
