Apple named ‘best’ global brand for fourth year running

Apple has been named the world’s ‘best’ brand for the fourth year in a row.

Now in its 17th year, Interbrand’s Best global brands report ranks the world’s top 100 brands against three key components: financial performance, influence on the customer, and the strength the brand has to command a premium price.

And Apple – now valued at $178,119 million – experienced a 5% surge in brand growth, holding off Google (+11% growth) in second place.

Notable B2B brands – or companies with B2B arms – on the list included fourth-placed Microsoft (+8%), sixth placed IBM (-19%), seventh-placed Samsung (+14%), and tenth-placed GE (+2%).

With a combined 29 positions, technology and automotive brands dominated the top 100, while the financial services sector retained a strong presence, making up 6.5% of the total report value with 12 inclusions.

Jez Frampton, Interbrand’s global chief executive officer, commented: “These brands clearly understand their ‘anatomy of growth’ – that it’s complex, nuanced, and personal. For each brand, growth means something different, and every story is unique.

“The best brands are looking inward and outward, expanding into new markets, creating better experiences. They’re not just weathering change, they’re driving it.”
