Apple posts Samsung admission

In line with a UK court ruling from earlier in the year, Apple has posted on its own website that Samsung did not copy its iPad designs.

Located on a plain page entitled Samsung / Apple UK judgment, the Californian company states that, “On 9th July 2012 the High Court of Justice of England and Wales ruled that Samsung Electronic(UK) Limited’s Galaxy Tablet Computer, namely the Galaxy Tab 10.1, Tab 8.9 and Tab 7.7 do not infringe Apple’s registered design No. 0000181607-0001.”

The page also states that courts in the US and Germany decided the case differently, and is a far cry from media voices suggesting Apple would end up advertising its rivals’ products.

Meanwhile the rest of Apple’s website is focusing on the new range of products it launched this week, and there are rumours that the first batch of iPad Minis have already sold out on pre-order.
