BRANDING NEWS: Arjowiggins Creative Papers takes campaign to London charity events | B2B Marketing

Paper manufacturer, Arjowiggins Creative Papers, is taking part in London-based D&AD’s graduate showcase event, exhibiting C-Myk (pronounced See-mike), the paper creatures at the centre of the company latest marketing campaign.

Arjowiggins Creative Papers is taking its ‘Colours’ Attack contest’ initiative a step further, as the C-Myk paper toys voted best in the contest will be showcased in the Arjowiggins Creative Papers VIP gallery at D&AD’s annual exhibition of emerging creative talent, ‘New Blood’.

The ‘Colours’ Attack contest’ – launched in April 2011 – aimed to engage designers and paper-users in friendly competition with peers, as well as famous creatives worldwide, encouraging them to realise their own versions of origami-character C-Myk.

During the exhibition, the C-Myk  paper toys will be sold in support of UNESCO’s ‘Award of Excellence for Handicrafts’ which promotes quality crafts that have been manufactured in a socially responsible manner and with respect for the environment.

Available for sale alongside with Japanese graphic artist, Shin Tanaka’s original creations will be a C-Myk by interior and product designer Karim Rashid, South African ‘treasures from trash’ designer Heath Nash, Camaroon artist Florence Béal-Nénakwé and Brazilian haute-couture designer Carlos Miele.
