Delivery business FedEx has renewed its sponsorship of the ATP World Tour, the elite professional tennis circuit for men.
The sponsorship deal covers 17 tournaments in 11 countries, and this year the tour has added events in Dubai and Rio de Janeiro. FedEx began its sponsorship of the World Tour in 2010, and the new deal extends the relationship for a further three years until the end of 2019.
Rajesh Subramaniam, EVP global marketing and communications at FedEx, said: “With its unique global footprint, the ATP World Tour is the perfect match for FedEx. We share many values with this globally popular sport, such as speed, precision, anticipation and service.”
ATP president and executive chairman Chris Kermode added: “Our relationship with FedEx has delivered great results since 2010. We’re thrilled that FedEx has had such a positive experience and will continue its sponsorship.”
The ATP World Tour culminates in the World Tour Finals in November, which features the eight top-ranked male singles players and doubles partnerships. Last year’s tournament was won by Great Britain’s Andy Murray, who beat Serbia’s Novak Djokovic in the final.
