Intel appoints Karen Walker as CMO

Intel has hired Karen Walker as CMO. 

With more than 20 years of global marketing experience, Karen will oversee Intel’s global marketing group, strengthening the brand, supporting

growth strategies

, and cultivating opportunities in markets. She joins Intel from global IT and cybersecurity company Cisco, where she served as CMO for four years. She’ll start at the tech firm on 23 October.

Walker

was also named one of the 10 most influential CMOs globally

 by Forbes back in 2017. 

Bob Swan, Intel CEO, said: “Karen is truly a world-class CMO. She has deep experience with many of our most valued customers and a keen understanding of what it will take to play an even larger role in their success. We are excited to have Karen on our leadership team.”

Before Cisco, Walker also worked at Hewlett-Packard, where she held business and

consumer leadership

positions. Walker will report to Michelle Johnston Holthaus, EVP and general manager of Intel’s sales, marketing and communications group.
