Klarna partners with comedian Celeste Barber in new global campaign

Payments company Klarna has launched a campaign with actress, comedian and influencer Celeste Barber.

The campaign features three 60-second videos of Barber addressing shopping ‘fails’ which incorporate the comedian’s sense of humour. The campaign emphasises a “try before they buy” experience for shoppers by allowing customers to manage their purchases and finances freely.

Barber captures Klarna’s personality

Klarna CMO David Sandstrom said: “Klarna prides itself on being both innovative and smoooth, and our campaign with Celeste Barber couldn’t be a more perfect collaboration to present payment empowerment and the convenience of our

products to consumers. Celeste brilliantly captures the message of

and playfully demonstrates how shopping with Klarna can empower any buyer to shop confidently. It’s fun, quirky but most of all it makes us smile, and we’re excited to see how this resonates among consumers.”

The videos were published on Barber’s Instagram and YouTube channels on 4 September. Additionally, a partnership with media company Refinery29 in the UK and US serves bespoke assets featuring Barber across their social media channels to sync with the campaign launch.
