ARM Holdings in top five ‘FTSE100 Social Media Index’

Technology company ARM Holdings has been ranked number five in the ‘FTSE100 Social Media Index’ top 10.

Published by digital corporate communications agency The Group, the report monitors how FTSE100 companies use social media and ranks their performance on Facebook, blogging, Twitter and YouTube to create an index of the top performers in digital reputation management.

ARM Holdings has used its corporate website in addition to all four social media channels to build a strong community over the last few years. The community area on ARM’s website incorporates blogs, YouTube and Twitter activity with news items and commercial information from different areas of the business. ARM also pinched the number two spot for fastest climbing companies after gaining nearly 2.8m video views on YouTube. Sage Group also proved it has a strong presence in the social media arena, taking third place in the top 10 thanks to blogging.

Cathal Smyth, managing director at The Group commented, “The FTSE100 is clearly investing more in reputation management through social media, but our analysis also indicates that demand for information via these channels is outstripping supply.”
