Media group, Dentsu Aegis Network has bought audience planning and targeting agency Media Storm to help Merkle’s multi-channel performance media services.
Financial details were not disclosed. The network was bought from Media Storm founders, Craig Woerz and Tim Williams, as well as private equity firm TZP Group. Now, Media Storm will use its audience decision science combined with Dentsu Aegis Network’s tech and data marketing agency Merkle’s people-based marketing approach to expand growth.
Just a few weeks ago, Dentsu Aegis Network built out Merkle’s B2B services with the acquisition of Digital Pi.
All of Media Storm’s 167 employees will move to Merkle, and Craig will remain Media Storm’s managing partner, reporting to Patrick Hounsell, executive vice-president, media services at Merkle.
