Dun & Bradstreet acquires Lattice Engines

Market data company Dun & Bradstreet has announced its acquisition of customer data provider Lattice Engines.

The acquisition aims to grow Dun & Bradstreet’s sales and marketing portfolio due to the shift towards digital transformation, predictive marketing and account-based marketing in B2B.

For customers, the acquisition means they will have access to Lattice Engine’s products while using their own and Dun & Bradstreet’s data.

Lattice Engine will now work under the Dun & Bradstreet banner. The two companies have worked in partnership since 2016.

Shashi Upadhyay, CEO at Lattice Engines said: “For a seller, the only way to manage the complexity of digital channel-proliferation is to apply AI to accurate data about companies and individual buyers. We at Lattice Engines have pioneered the application of AI to B2B sales and marketing use cases. Until now, we always relied on either the customer or third parties to provide the underlying data.”

Michael Bird, executive VP and general manager at Dun & Bradstreet, also commented: “I have always encouraged my teams to make data-driven decisions and rely on data to help us target the right customers and prospects, those who have both the greatest need for our products and services and the ability to help us generate the greatest amount of revenue. Simple, right? Not exactly – in fact, anything but simple, and certainly not straightforward. That’s why when the opportunity to join forces with Lattice Engines importantly, for the customers our companies exist to serve.”
