Former Sky branding director Liz Darran joins Intuit QuickBooks as marketing director

Former Sky director of brand marketing Liz Darran has joined online accounting software company Intuit QuickBooks as its UK marketing director.

She will lead all integrated marketing activity aimed at QuickBooks’ self-employed, SME and accountants client base.

Darran previously held the position of director of brand marketing at Sky UK, where her responsibilities included brand marketing, media and campaign planning, brand communications and creative services, including the alignment of the Sky brand across its European markets, and marquee activations such as Sky Cycling.

Her impressive CV also includes 18 years at WCRS and Engine Group, including managing partner at WCRS.

Darran said: “This sector is currently enjoying rapid growth in the UK and there is a real opportunity for a holistic brand approach to accelerate QuickBooks’ success further. I was really impressed by the clear vision and keen ambition of the Intuit QuickBooks team.

“There is a huge opportunity to deliver both innovative and challenging work in this sector to help customers realise the seismic effect this tech can have in controlling and improving their financial lives. I’m really looking forward to the challenge and I can’t wait to get started.”
