Gyro looks for new CEO, as Kate Howe promoted to chief growth officer at Dentsu Aegis Network

Kate Howe, CEO of B2B agency gyro, has been promoted to chief growth officer at parent company Dentsu Aegis Network (DAN).

In her new role, she will work with the network’s agencies to drive growth, and will also assume the role of chairman of gyro. The agency said it had begun the search for Howe’s replacement.

Howe joined gyro as managing director in July 2004 from Draftfcb. She was appointed CEO in 2017. The agency was acquired by DAN in July 2016.

In addition, DAN has promoted James Connelly – founder of digital agency Fetch – to a new role as chief strategic development officer, and Matthew Platts, CEO of media brands, has been given the new position of chief commercial officer. The company has also hired former Sky HR director Anne Sewell in the role of chief people officer, and Dennis Romijn from Liberty International as chief financial officer.

In October, DAN acquired market researcher B2B International to become part of gyro.
