JCDecaux Airport UK has launched a campaign inspired by virtual reality (VR) to demonstrate the power of out-of-home advertising.
Entitled ‘Advertising at the airport: A world of possibility’, the campaign comprises four 360-degree VR videos, allowing advertisers to take a tour of Heathrow Airport from the comfort of their own desks.
Created by Visualise, the tour will encompass a passenger’s typical journey as they travel through the airport, demonstrating the key benefits and opportunities of out-of-home advertising.
The project, called iExplore, is an example of how B2B brands can embrace virtual reality.
Alan Sullivan, MD of JCDecaux Airport UK, said: “The airport is a unique environment with key advertising benefits that can be extremely difficult to showcase in real life due to time and security restrictions at the airport.
“We can now make it possible for potential advertisers to understand the benefits in an impressive and impactful way without having to leave their office.”
