Average B2B marketing salary drops to £46,442

The average B2B marketing salary has fallen by £1500 to £46,442 over the last 12 months.

That’s the headline finding from the second annual B2B Marketing Salary Survey. The equivalent average salary last year was £48,000.

Paul Snell, deputy editor at B2B Marketing, said: “At first glance, the drop in the average salary may appear alarming, but the overall picture is more nuanced. However, the fact male salaries have risen, far outstripping female pay packets, which have fallen during the same period, widening the gender pay gap is a cause for concern.”

The survey found that men have seen their salaries rise by more than £4500 to an average of £56,529 when compared with 2016. Female B2B marketers saw a fall of more than £2800 to an average of £42,193.

For the first time this year the survey, sponsored by The Jefferson Group, provides benchmarks in terms of location, seniority and specialism to help you understand where you sit in terms of the industry averages.
