The B2B marketing industry faired very well at the Women in Marketing Awards last night, with Claire Mason, managing director at B2B PR agency Man Bites Dog, Gemma Davies, account director at B2B agency The Marketing Practice and Claire Sadler, marketing director at BT Business all walking away with trophies.
Mason, one of our magazine columnists, walked away with the Best Female Leader in Marketing title, Davies bagged the Female Fast Tracked Marketer of the Year award and Sadler won the B2B Marketing sponsored category, Best Female Marketer B2B.
The event, designed to highlight the achievements of women in marketing, coincided with Equal Pay Day. The day highlights the gender pay gap and shows because of the increase in the gap, women will effectively now be working for free until the end of the year.
Rita Clifton CBE, and awards creator, Ade Onilude, hosted the event. Onilude said: “The Women in Marketing Awards inspire women in the profession to showcase their greatest marketing achievements and celebrate their success alongside their peers.”
