B2B Data Direct’s new suppression file

A data suppression service is being introduced for businesses to cut costs and ensure their compliance with data laws.

The online suppression file by B2B Data Direct, a division of its sister bureau, Blue Sheep, will be available from January 20, 2009.

The service uses the business suppression file of data suppression specialist, The Read Group. But Andrew Champion, head of client partnership at Blue Sheep explains that B2B Data Direct’s file is an alternative portal, which provides additional services such as data management that companies can use for their market penetration process.

The new service will allow clients to upload their data on B2B Data Direct’s portal, www.b2bdatadirect.com, and have it cleaned by suppression tools within 24 hours.

The company claims that marketers using the new facility will have access to accurate data by enabling clients to clean their data and produce optimum ROI from marketing campaigns. It is also maintains this service will protect companies against breaching the data protection act.

“Our new service will provide companies with the confidence that they are not only adhering to the legal required suppression but also undertaking best practise levels,” says John Wright, commercial director at B2B Data Direct.
