B2B marketing salaries bounce back in bumper year

The average B2B marketing salary has risen to £52,080, an increase of 12% compared with a year ago.

According to the third annual B2B Marketing Salary Survey 2018, annual wages have recovered from the fall to £46,442 seen in 2017.

Average salaries were up across the board, both client-side and at agencies – with pay for agency staff now outstripping that of in-house marketers.

Paul Snell, deputy editor at B2B Marketing, said: “Marketers will be relieved last year’s fall in salaries turned out to be a blip rather than a trend. The growth in salaries is indicative of a competitive market for talent and the strength of the agency market.”

This year’s survey features more benchmarks than ever before, allowing B2B marketers to compare their salaries against averages for seniority, specialism, location and sector.
