The average salary for a B2B marketer in the UK is now £60,439, according to exclusive research.
The B2B Marketing UK Salary Survey 2019 found salaries rose by 16% over the past 12 months, boosted by strong growth in salaries at the top of the profession. Wages are up by £8359 compared with the £52,020 seen in 2018.
The report, which is available to download now, allows B2B marketers to compare their own remuneration against a series of salary benchmarks including seniority, location, sector and specialism.
Female pay rose by almost a quarter (23%), with average pay passing £50,000 for the first time. Men received a 14% increase, increasing to more than £74,000. The gender pay gap has now risen to more than £21,000.
Paul Snell, deputy editor at B2B Marketing, said: “The rise in salaries is great news for employees, but possibly less welcome for employers looking to attract talent at a time of economic uncertainty.
“The problem with the gender pay gap though has moved from unacceptably stable to unacceptably critical. It’s not a problem organisations can solve alone, so the whole industry has to work together.”
The B2B Marketing UK Salary Survey 2019 polled 515 marketers in May 2019.
