A slightly late edition of B2B Marketing’s October top five talking points. But better late than never eh?
Here are the top five topics that got you talking last month:
1. What clients really think about their agencies
Do you love your agency? This month Joel Harrison, editor-in-chef at B2B Marketing, investigated some of the key findings from our first survey of B2B clients’ use of their agencies.
Some of the results got your tongues wagging, including the discovery only a minority of clients (17 per cent) work with a single agency, and almost half like to retain a roster of active agency relationships – 43 per cent work with three or more agencies.
This survey will be published in our upcoming B2B Agencies Benchmarking Report along with extended league tables and agency performance data in the Nov/Dec magazine.
2. #B2BAwards
We’re all getting very excited here in the B2B Marketing office with the B2B Awards now only weeks away. Who is going to take away an award and who is going to miss out? And more importantly, what do we wear? All will be revealed on the night.
This year’s finalists’ case studies are now online, go and have a peek. Plus, if you haven’t got your tickets already make sure you don’t miss out by booking now.
3. The truth about email
Did you know video isn’t bad for email, and frequency of send doesn’t necessary effect opens or clicks? This month Maxine-Laurie Marshall, deputy editor at B2B Marketing, exposes the rumours surrounding email marketing and reveals the truths that will help revolutionise your email marketing.
4. 93% of B2B marketers use content marketing
B2B marketers were extremely interested that a whopping 93 per cent of B2B marketers in the US use content marketing. This research has been crowned top news story for October.
The study revealed some 30 per cent of the total B2B marketing budgets are allocated to content marketing. Plus, 58 per cent plan to increase this budget over the next year.
5. Why B2B brands should invest in social [INFOGRAPHIC]
As the most tweeted blog this month, this ‘sexy’ infographic sparked a huge debate across social media. Some of the debate regarded the reliability of some of the facts. For example, B2B marketers who use Twitter generate twice as many leads as those that do not. Surely this can’t be true?! – Let us know what you think.
