British Airways boss Willie Walsh has appeared in viral video criticising striking BA and reassuring customers that flights will remain in operation.
The video, which is appearing on BA’s website and its YouTube channel, shows Walsh describing the industrial action as a “big blow” to the company and its customers, adding, “You’re going to see British Airways coming together in the interests of our customers to make sure that this great company continues to fly.”
Two weeks ago BA charged Agency.com to devise a social media strategy to provide travellers the latest information about possible strike action.
Union Unite has voted in favour of a three-day strike starting 20 March, followed by a possible four-day strike starting on 27 March.
Rival airline bmi has published a series of press ads targeting BA customers affected by the industrial action.
