Bates takes the reins at LBM

LBM has completed the spring clean of its management team with the appointment of a new MD and directors following the departure of founder Paul Beck in 2006.

The data and telemarketing specialist has promoted Mark Bates from COO to MD, replacing Ben Dixon in the senior executive position, who has departed for personal reasons.

The board has also been bolstered by the arrival of John Lord from Dun & Bradstreet as new group sales and marketing director, and Gary Powell as sales director who joins from Equifax to manage LBM’s London-based sales operation. The pair previously worked together at D&B.

Mark Bates joined LBM in 2005 as CFO, assuming additional responsibility for call centre operations, IT, HR, data and client services, and successfully managing a period of sustained growth. Other recent appointments include Zac Liyeanarachi, who heads up the company’s B2C operation.

Paul Beck retains a minority shareholding in the business.
