Trade, technical and scientific marketing communications consultancy Barrett Dixon Bell (BDB) has been appointed by Food for Health Ireland (FHI) to deliver a global media relations campaign.
The BDB team is charged with communicating the work of FHI across the worldwide nutrition and food ingredients markets.
The newly formed FHI is a partnership of leading academic and government research organisations and Ireland’s major dairy processing companies, funded by the Irish government working through Enterprise Ireland.
FHI aims to identify bioactive ingredients that can be derived from milk to address some of the world’s most pressing health issues, including early infant development, obesity, immunity/infection and heart health.
Jens Bleiel, FHI’s CEO, said of the appointment: “The team’s passion, expertise and experience will be a great asset to FHI in communicating the findings of our âmilk mining’ programme at a time when nutritional claims are widely debated.”
Henry Dixon, commercial director at BDB, added. “We are excited to be working with FHI, as its balance of academic and commercial objectives are very much in tune with our own organisation. Furthermore, cutting edge research will provide a fascinating foundation for a first class campaign.”
