Blockchain start-up Aventus links up with Andrew Ford as new CMO

Aventus, the blockchain infrastructure firm, has hired Andrew Ford as its new CMO.

Ford, who has held senior marketing posts at Red Box Recorders, Pitney Bowes and Symantec in addition to advising tech start-ups, was described by the company as “the perfect person to lead the effort of shaping and bringing our brand and blockchain protocol to market”.

Aventus is developing a blockchain protocol specifically for the ticketing industry, designed to improve ticket transactions and record-keeping, which is scheduled to launch soon.

Ford said: “I chose to join Aventus because their vision, leadership, and technology are some of the strongest I have seen in my career. We are at the forefront of creating new technology for the ticketing industry that will solve many of the issues that have been impacting the existing companies in the space. We are creating real value with new blockchain technology and tools, and that is exciting to be a part of.”
