BMC launches exclusive forum for client-side marketers

The Business Marketing Collective (BMC) has launched a new and exclusive forum for in-house or client-side marketers of all levels where they can network with peers and discuss and debate today’s most compelling marketing issues – free from interference by agency or vendors.

The ‘BMC Club’ is the latest addition to the BMC’s offering, which features both online and real-world opportunities for engagement and interaction between in-house or client-side marketers. Evening networking events will take place on a bi-monthly basis, with the emphasis on relaxed informal discussions over drinks about topical issues, with further opportunities for engagement via a dedicated BMC Club LinkedIn Group.

Dave Stevens, CMO of British Land and a member of the BMC Executive Council leading the BMC Club programme, explained: “The B2B sector is increasingly well served by conferences and formal events, but what it’s lacking is the chance for networking on an informal, or dare I say ‘fun’, basis. We think that BMC Club will be a great addition to the B2B sector, and allow client-side marketers to boost their careers and get more out of the industry in a more relaxed environment.”

Meanwhile, David Burnand, MD of SteinIAS London and chair of BMC, commented: “Through its roots in the Association of B2B Agencies (ABBA), which now functions as the BMC Agencies Council, BMC has a long history of catering for the needs of agencies – the BMC Club boosts our proposition for client-side marketers, and is a great compliment to the larger ‘Converge’ networking events, which are applicable to all members. We’re grateful for Dave for all his hard work in bringing this concept together.“

The first BMC Club meeting takes place in the function room at The Sun public house, on Drury Lane, in London’s Covent Garden.

BMC Club is only open to full members of the BMC, which is free to qualifying marketers for a limited period. For more information about membership, contact Amie Bakker on [email protected].
