Britain has surpassed Japan to become the world’s most mobile data hungry nation.
Ofcom research comparing mobile browsing habits of nations across the world revealed the average UK user gets through 424 megabytes of data each month.
Japanese users use 392 megabytes per month, with the US in third place (319 megabytes).
These stats are set to swell with the arrival of 4G networks in UK cities.
The research also stated that mobile is resopnsible for around one sixth of the UK’s total web traffic.
