BT Business launches BT SearchSmart for SMEs

BT Business has launched a search service designed to help small businesses market themselves better online.

In partnership with search agency, Latitude, it has launched BT SearchSmart, which offers small businesses access to trained search marketing experts in order to improve their online returns.

The service costs from £74.99 per month and includes a telephone consultation, website audit, advice on on-site optimisation, and key word targeting. The service can also build and manage PPC campaigns for clients.

Chris Holder, small business owner and partner and co-founder at Brand X PR, said: “Online is set to become an increasingly important channel for us, and until recently, this type of service was only available from dedicated agencies or if you had a specialist in-house, both of which were beyond our budget.”

Bill Murphy, managing director, BT Business, added: “Search advertising is growing rapidly and is now the leading advertising format in Europe growing at a rate of 26 per cent year on year. We want to make sure that small businesses can participate in this rapidly growing market at a price they can afford and with access to the tools to manage their campaign performance effectively.”

BT SearchSmart gives small businesses access to a dedicated portal where they can manage their search marketing activity with online reports, recommendations and access to qualified professionals. The reports track improvements in individual keyword rankings and report on paid search spend and allocation. There are a range of packages available for SMEs including support for PPC, search engine optimisation and web analytics.
