BT has appointed Bigmouthmedia to handle the search engine marketing activity for BT Tradespace.
The deal follows a seven-way pitch and includes both paid for and natural search, which will be tracked using DoubleClick technology.
BT Tradespace, launched last April, is BT’s growing online business directory. It incorporates a raft of social networking tools including blogs, photos, videos and podcasts which encourage businesses to network with one another as well as sell their products and services.
“We were impressed by Bigmouth’s wealth of knowledge of search disciplines and their approach inspired confidence. We believe that using one agency for both paid for and natural search will pay dividends for us,” says Nick Ratcliffe, general manager of marketing and strategy, BT Directories.
“Due to the scale and complexity of BT’s operations this promises to be a challenging project, and we are delighted to be taking a lead role in ensuring the brands’ continued online success,” adds Lyndsay Menzies, managing director of Bigmouthmedia UK.
Bigmouthmedia will also handle search marketing activity for BT’s The Phone Book.
