This year, we surveyed B2B marketers on their choice martech platform of the year. Here’s some highlights of its 2019 achievements as to why Hubspot was ranked #1 among audiences
Working Culture
Glassdoor ranked marketing and sales software company, Hubspot, the number one place to work in 2020. Hubspot attributed its success to its focus on four elements of the company in 2019:
- diversity and inclusion,
- customer-centricity,
- learning and development
- remote work
Hubspot co-founder and CTO Dharmesh Shah said: “We learned long ago that in order for us to achieve our ambitions we needed to build two products. One for our customers — and the other for our people. This second product is what we think of as our culture. And, just like any other product development efforts, building a great culture is all about getting candid feedback and iterating. That’s why I’ve been a big Glassdoor fan. It allows us to get feedback and constantly improve our culture.”
Additionally, Great Place to Work and Fortune honoured HubSpot as one of the top 10 2020 Best Workplaces in Technology. The ranking considered more than 100,000 employee surveys from technology companies across the US and rewarded companies with dedication to company culture and employee growth.
Expanded partnerships
Hubspot has also expanded several of its partnerships and integrations with other growing companies. Threads Software Limited announced that it has earned the HubSpot Certified App Partner designation in 2019. The certification, which involves passing a technical review by HubSpot’s team of developers, means that users can now be even more confident when using Thread’s application. HubSpot’s integration with Threads started in February and more than 100 HubSpot users have installed Threads to assist with migrating calls and emails to their Threads app.
Brad Coffey, chief strategy officer at Hubspot, said: “Our customers want to achieve great results fast, and we’re always looking to provide solutions and tools that will help them do their jobs quickly and streamline operations. Threads’ offering makes customers move to HubSpot from their existing CRM more efficiently and ensures they don’t lose any of their valuable historic data. We’re excited that they’ve earned the Certified App Partner designation.”
In March, HubSpot announced the launch of a new integration with Atlassian’s Jira Software Cloud that helps companies act quickly to resolve customer issues.
Key appointments
Hubspot hired Yamini Rangan as its first ever chief customer officer. She will be responsible for leading and uniting the marketing, sales and services teams around the customer. She’ll also be a key member of the executive leadership team and provide leadership across the organisation to sell and deliver across HubSpot’s markets. Yamini was previously working for Dropbox, where she was its chief customer officer for a year and a half. In 2019, she was recognised as one of the Most Influential Women in Business by San Francisco Business Times.
Brian Halligan, CEO of Hubspot, said: “Today’s most disruptive companies are finding ways to innovate on how they market, sell, and provide service to their buyers, and Yamini has a proven track record of doing just that. I’m confident that our team and community will benefit greatly from her experience.”
New opportunities and jobs
Hubspot has committed to 450 new jobs for the company by 2023 and has created an office space in Dublin called the ‘Hubspot House’.
This will enable the company to help millions of organisations across EMEA grow better as well as expand its services. Accommodating 800 seats, the space brings HubSpot’s total impression in Dublin to 185,000 sq. ft when combined with the existing offices at One and Two Docklands Central, according to its blog.
JD Sherman, Hubspot’s president and chief operating officer, said: “We opened our EMEA headquarters in Dublin to help HubSpot’s global customers grow better, and to create an opportunity for talented individuals in product, engineering, sales, services, and marketing to have real customer impact across the market. Our growth in Dublin has exceeded our expectations, which is a testament to the team and their hard work in building world-class products, delivering exceptional service to our customers, and creating an inclusive and award-winning culture.”
