CMOs to own 10% of overall tech budget ‘by end of 2015’

CMOs will hold 10 per cent of their company’s overall technology budget by the end of 2015, the International Data Corporation (IDC) has claimed.

This is one of 10 predictions from IDC’s FutureScape report which aims to provided an outlook on the IT market in the coming year.

Integration, consolidation and rationalisation in marketing technology will make up an average of 35 per cent of marketing tech budgets next year.

Meanwhile, by the end of 2015 IDC believe one in five organisations will aim to measure employee experience as a direct impact on customer experience.
