Content creation up for 86% of marketers

Eighty-six per cent of marketers have produced more content over the last 12 months than they did the previous year, according to B2B Marketing’s 2014 Content Benchmarking Report.

This leap has been delivered without a notable increase in time and budget, which have risen just three per cent and one per cent respectively.

Meanwhile, nine per cent of the B2B marketers surveyed said their content creation levels had ‘stayed the same,’ while only three per cent said their content marketing efforts had actually ‘decreased’.

Alex Aspinall, head of content at B2B Marketing, said: “It’s encouraging to see the degree to which B2B Marketers have embraced digital content and inbound marketing strategies.

“However, it is imperative that the content being created offers something or worth to target markets. If this box isn’t ticked content creation can be a waste of everyone’s time.”
