D&B has relaunched its online information service Hoover’s with enhanced functionality, which it claims will enable quicker access to relevant business insights. Enhanced functionality includes a more powerful search platform and list-building capability, a consolidated database unifying search results and a refreshed design.
D&B claims the improvements to the Hoover’s service were introduced in response to customer feedback. Nicky Keyworth, head of sales & marketing solutions at D&B, comments: âOur goal is to help our customers to find the business information they need more easily. It’s now easier for subscribers to take advantage of Hoover’s depth and breadth of business insight.â
Keyworth explains that the new service features better integration of D&B data. âPreviously customers had to initiate separate searches for Hoover’s and D&B records. These databases have now been consolidated to provide a unified view of information. To help users quickly see the amount of information contained on each record, a ‘depth-indicator’ has been assigned on a scale of one to three, with three indicating the most in-depth.â
The service also features a new tabular search box and places contextually relevant, actionable tools in a consistent, convenient place. Real time filtering technology offers a range of customisable parameters, with the aim of enabling more efficient searches.
