Document XL launches charity fundraiser

Document XL, national office supplies company and authorised Xerox Business Partner, has initiated its ‘charity wrap’ fundraising scheme to make it easier for companies to donate money to charity every time they produce a colour document.

The ‘charity wrap’ is created when Document XL secures an order to a supply company with a business photocopier, printer or multi-function machine and asks the company which charity they would like to support. Document XL will then approach the charity for their branding, key message and national fundraising phone number, all of which are used on a Xerox photocopier or printer. The first printers created with the ‘charity wrap’ are for Marie Curie Cancer Care.

According to Document XL, the majority of organisations pay between four and 12 pence to print a colour document. Stephen Dobson, MD of Document XL (pictured left) says that companies can donate up to 15 per cent of the copy charge to their chosen charity.

Dobson, says it’s a simple idea, “We’re looking to talk to organisations which produce more than 500 colour documents a month…national and multi-national companies, really anyone with a conscience who is looking to actively make a difference.”
