Dulux Trade has announced that it will be the main sponsor of the MSA British Rally Championship for 2010/11.
The two-year deal, which was brokered by Manchester-based Refinery, will provide the brand with a number of branding opportunities including venue, driver and vehicle branding.
The international rally series will be called the Dulux Trade MSA British Rally Championship, and Dulux Trade branding will be displayed at the start and finish lines, on the podium, in perimeter adverts, on the cars and on drivers’ overalls. There will also be promotional clothing for rally officials.
Refinery has developed a bespoke logo for the partnership and is creating additional marketing support materials.
The official launch of the Championship was held at the Dulux Trade headquarters in Slough. The event was attended by British Rally Champion and 2009 Pirelli Star Driver Keith Cronin and British Teams Rally Champions Pirelli TEG Sport.
Steve Snaith, marketing director at Dulux Trade, said: “The sponsorship opportunity will provide Dulux Trade with a dynamic platform from which to build on the emotional side of the brand and promote its performance products and services to existing customers, as well as a wider audience.
“We are delighted to be sponsoring the UK’s leading rally championships as Dulux Trade is a leading brand all about high quality, high performance products, exactly the qualities of the British Rally Championships.”
British Rally Championship managing director, Mark Taylor said: “We are extremely proud to have been chosen by this established, professional brand and look forward to working with Dulux Trade in its association with the MSA British Rally Championship.”
