Earnezt rallies marketers to #Ignite4Chicago at B2B Ignite USA

B2B Ignite USA’s change of venue from Chicago to the web, due to COVID-19, has inspired Earnezt to use their own sponsorship package to rally attendees into giving charitable donations to Chicago’s community. 

Communities throughout the city of Chicago and its surrounding areas have been among the hardest hit by the COVID crisis in the US. Because of school closures and widespread loss of income, thousands are now seeking food assistance for the first time.

In response, Earnezt is dedicated to raising awareness of the critical services provided by the Greater Chicago Food Depository and inviting conference attendees to #Ignite4Chicago for donations. This will take place tomorrow and Thursday at B2B Marketing Ignite USA’s virtual conference when you visit Earnezt’s virtual booth.

The GCFD brings together more than 700 organisations and programmes, including food pantries, soup kitchens, shelters, and mobile distributions, to deliver essential food assistance. Before the COVID crisis, they regularly provided for over 800,000 people. That number has now more than doubled. Just a $1 donation is enough to provide three meals through the GCFD, and Earnezt is starting the ball rolling with a pledge of 6,000 meals.

Chris Wilson, managing director of Earnezt, said: “The B2B marketing community has historically brought economic benefit to the City of Chicago during the previous big B2B events. Given we are now virtual, we should instead look at how we support this amazing city, even though we can’t be there.. The work of the Greater Chicago Food Depository is vital and we invite our friends and colleagues attending B2B Ignite to join with us in lending their support to the important work the GCFD is doing.”
