Travel site ebookers has created a new European B2B unit to focus on media and private-lable revenue opportunities for the brand, as part of its efforts to “accelerate growth into 2010”.
The B2B unit will be run by Gilles Despas, former managing director for ebookers Continental Europe.
In his new role, Despas will lead the B2B team to collaborate with the three ebookers regions and Global Partner Services Group, to source and revenue manage non-hotel supply, support ebookers’ efforts to streamline processes in product operations, and focus on Media Solutions and Private Label opportunities.
The new regional structure will simplify decision-making by grouping country sites according to “where the markets are in terms of maturity and similar customer behaviours,” according to Tamer Tamar, President, ebookers.com.
