Eighty per cent of FTSE under-utilising LinkedIn

Although 96 per cent of FTSE 100 companies have corporate LinkedIn accounts, only 20 per cent are currently posting status updates.

New research from Sociagility reveals that corporates are ignoring this opportunity and, as a result, only 12 per cent are seeing regular engagement on the platform.

Those that do post on LinkedIn seem to receive a good reception from LinkedIn users, however.

Josh Graff, director of LinkedIn marketing solutions EMEA, said, “With four out of five British professionals on LinkedIn, a company page gives businesses a social media presence that counts.

“While most UK businesses have a company page, as this research highlights, many are not yet making the most of it. I’d encourage them to log on, add their products and services and start actively engaging.”
