Engagement via email is still the most desirable form of communication between businesses, a recent study by Adobe has revealed.
Email trumps other forms of communication by quite some way. Forty-five per cent prefer email over face-to-face conversations, 15 per cent prefer it to telephone calls, six per cent to instant messaging and one per cent to social networks and video conferencing.
Meanwhile, over half of UK office workers (51 per cent) predict email traffic will enjoy a significant boost over the next two years, with the technology industry 23 per cent more likely to experience a considerable rise.
Email is also not restricted to the office environment, with 81 per cent of workers confessing to checking their work email outside of working hours, with 18 per cent admitting to checking their work emails multiple times in an hour.
