Richard Gibson has been named as the new chair of the Direct Marketing Association’s Email Marketing Council (EMC).
Gibson will formally accept his chairmanship at the council’s next meeting later this month. Gibson is channel relationship manager of email marketing company Return Path and has been a member of the EMC since 2003.
Commenting on his appointment Chris Combemale, outgoing EMC chair and executive director of the DMA, said “I’m very pleased to pass on the reins to the very capable hands of Richard. His knowledge and expertise is a tremendous asset to the EMC, and will serve them well during his tenure as chair of the council.”
The EMC drives policy development within the digital marketing sphere and produces best practice guidelines for DMA members and the wider email marketing community.
