Emirates has extended its partnership with the ATP World Tour in the biggest sponsorship deal in the tennis association’s history.
The five-year extension will commence in 2016 and extend the airline’s global reach to the 32 countries and six continents that the ATP’s 62 tournaments span.
The Tour attracts 880 million TV viewers over a season, as well as the 4.3 million fans attending matches.
The sponsorship will also see Emirates offer on-site hospitality at events and enjoy extensive branding on the ATP Tour website, which generates over 325 million visits per year.
Boutros Boutros, Emirates divisional senior VP corporate communications, marketing and brand, said: “Emirates offers direct flights to nearly 90 percent of the 32 countries visited by the ATP World Tour, making this partnership particularly relevant for our customers.
“Tennis truly is an international sport and it is our own appreciation of this sport that has been the catalyst behind our growing tennis sponsorship portfolio.”
