Q&A: Marie Hattar of Keysight Technologies on being a company’s first CMO

Keysight Technologies has a history that stretches back more than 70 years, but until now, it’s never had a CMO. Marie Hattar joined the business in August last year. She shares the challenges of being the company’s first marketing executive.

Keysight began as the electronic test and measurement division of HP when it divested from HP’s subsidiary, Agilent, in 2014. But it wasn’t until August 2017, when Keysight signed a $1.6 billion acquisition of Ixia, that Marie took the reigns as the company’s first CMO.
