4 in 5 UK publishers anticipate growth in coming year
The Digital Publishers Revenue Index (DPRI) – a quarterly report of UK publishers – found publishers are gathering financial momentum, with more than half (53%) reporting positive revenue growth compared to Q2 2015. The rise contributed to a total Q2 revenue of £78.4 million – up 1.8% since last year.
B2B publishers are in particularly good stead, experiencing strong Q2 growth in sponsorship (54%) and subscriptions (41%), contributing to a revenue uplift of 5.5%.
In contrast, total B2C publisher revenues rose 3.8% in the same period.
Video is the fastest growing revenue category, experiencing an impressive 117% increase compared to Q2 2015.
Display advertising remains the largest single revenue category for UK publishers, despite dropping 7% since last year.
