APPOINTMENT NEWS: Sage names new head of brand marketing
Business software and services specialist Sage has named Paul Cairney as its new head of brand marketing. The appointment comes at a time when the company aims to reinforce its brand presence among businesses.
In his new role at Sage, Cairney will be responsible for the strategic brand direction in the UK. He will be focusing on the deployment of new strategies to raise awareness of Sage’s software solutions addressing small and large companies’ business operations needs.
Cairney has spent his entire career in marketing. He comes to Sage from Northern Rock, where he was assistant director of brand and sponsorship and led the recent strategic review of the Northern Rock brand.
Commenting on his appointment, Cairney said, “The opportunity to work for a FTSE 100, market leading business appealed to me and in particular, the business commitment to providing its customers with a fantastic experience is really exciting. Sage recently appeared for the first time in the top 50 UK Superbrands.
