BRANDING NEWS: Apple unleashes Mountain Lion
Apple fans are getting to grips with their new operating system, Mountain Lion, after it was released last night.
The Californian company’s app website crashed briefly shortly after release due to the interest in the new version of OSX, which can be used across Mac laptop and desktop machines.
Key updates to the previous iteration of the operating stystem – Lion, which was released a year ago – include deeper Twitter integration, notifications upgrades, dictation modes and further iCloud integration. Users who also have iPhones and iPads should appreciate increased connectivity across each of their devices now.
Philip Schiller, Apple's senior vice president of worldwide marketing, said, "People are going to love the new features in Mountain Lion and how easy it is to download and install from the Mac App Store."
Mountain Lion is available to buy from the Mac App store now and is priced at £13.99.
